How to Stick with your New Years Resolutions Featured

Happy New Year! While we all have the best of intentions for 2016, it can be sometimes challenging to maintain those goals. Whether it is losing weight, starting a new job or project or eating  better, here are some of our tips to help you to stick to your resolutions this year.

 

1. Write it down: You may know what you want for 2016 but it really helps to write those goals down where you can look at them daily and track them. Think of this as a journal for your life as you chart down what you want and how you are going to get it.

2. Say it: Just as it is important to write it down for yourself, it is also important to let other people know about the potential changes in your life. Tell those closest to you and you will be amazed at how they will help you to check-in with yourself about this to maintain your accountability.

3. Do it (in small and big steps every day): You wrote it down, you said it and now it is time to take action. This includes taking small and big steps everyday to reach your goal. If you want to lose weight, exercise everyday. If you want to look for a new job, polish your resume and apply everyday. IF you want to try a new hobby, take a class. You have the power to take action in your life.

4. Enjoy it! As you take the steps to change your life, enjoy the little moments as you reach your goal. You may have told yourself you want to lose 10 pounds in a month but only lost 7 pounds. Don't fret it and stick with your goal for the big picture!
