There are so many things you can do: make a donation in honor of a birthday or a shower, run a 5k or a marathon to raise money for moms around the world, or buy the specially commissioned CD at Starbucks, a gorgeous scarf or even a nursery that will benefit maternal health programs! 

Each month Every Mother Counts brings a new action to its followers. June's theme was "every partner counts" in which the Million Moms Challenge was honored to be included! The July and August theme is "The Summer of Sisterhood" with a list of easy ways you can support maternal health including:

• A summer book list
• A lemonade stand kit to do with your kids to benefit maternal health
• Some ideas for how you can donate desperately needed supplies to help moms in need around the world
• An invitation to share your kids' letters from camp, and
• Some great new ideas to try this summer

Resources raised through Every Mother Counts' activities will be directed to programs around the world that are helping women access the care they need. Updates will be posted on their "Our Progress" page, reporting on efforts to: provide safe, clean places for women to deliver their babies; ensure trained professionals are available to help women give birth; help women travel to access the care they need; and provide health education and voluntary family planning resources. 

Like the Million Moms Challenge community, Every Mother Counts believes that everyone has the capacity to make a difference.
