Top 5 Apps for College Students Featured

10 Sep

College life is definitely busy, so it can be hard to get into the swing of things.

To help make the transition a bit easier this fall, Verizon Wireless  helped us assemble a list of the top five apps to help college students this semester. Be sure to look out for these apps, available on both Android and iPhone:

  • Evernote (iPhone, Android): The cloud-based service allows you to store a wide variety of content, from photos, to notes and websites in one place. The free app can be accessed from a long list of devices, making Evernote a one-stop shop for school and social this fall.
  • Audio Memos (iPhone) & Voice Recorder (Android): Taking notes in a long lecture is not always easy. With these user-friendly audio apps, you can record a lecture and send to your email, leave yourself voice memos and more! These free apps may get you to your 8 am just to try them out!
  •  Around Campus (iPhone, Android): Around Campus helps you find local deals and coupons that are tailored for your college. The app currently lists deals for 180 schools and is always partnering with more. Maybe your school is there?
  • Graphing Calculator (iPhone) & Algeo Graphing Calculator (Android): Graphing calculators can definitely be pricey, almost as much as a text book! This app has all the features you would normally associate with a graphing calculator, plus more. The best part: Graphing Calculator is only $1.99! The Algeo Graphing Calculator is slightly different, but free.
  • Lookout (iPhone, Android):Nothing is worse than losing your phone but for college students, it seems to happen to the best of us! Lookout can help you track down your lost or stolen phone, as well as protect your private information. It’s an absolute must-have!
