Brrr...the chill is on. That doesn't mean that you have to forgo your workout and fitness routine. In fact, you can still be fit and get ready for the summer in the comfort of your own home. Here are some of our favorite ways to stay fit and healthy even when it is bitter cold outside.

1. Yoga: The art of yoga is an incredible way to connect to your body. Through impactful stretches and light mediation, you can release tension, increase flexibility and get your body toned. There are several DVD that you can use or online tools like Do Yoga With Me (https://www.doyogawithme.com/) to guide you and keep you on track.

2. Lift Weights: You don't need super heavy weights to make an impact. Depending on your size and height 5-10 pounds weights should be ideal where you can target and train the muscles in your arms, shoulders, and chest.

3. Dance: Dancing is a fantastic way to burn calories in your house. It is also a wonderful stress-reliever as you move and groove to your favorite tune. For something more structured, check out Zumba. Find out more info at https://www.zumba.com/en-US

4. Work on your abs: You don't need fancy equipment to work out and tone your abs. You can do simply crunches at home, or consider an exercise ball where you can do various reps. They are also great for the back and the legs.

5. Tone your legs: Get your legs toned by lifting and lowering them and applying the scissor technique where they go back and forth.

Lunch time strikes and you have a few options. You either go the fast food route, find something healthy, or skip it. With a long day at work, or running around, we think healthy is the best way to go. Here are some of our favorite options to help you make the best choices.

1. Power salad: Salads are great way to get tons of nutrients in your body. Start with one that has dark leafy greens like kale and layer it with crunchy veggies, beans, and a light dressing.

2. Soup: This liquid lunch is another favorite that is packed with good-for-you ingredients. Get the ones that aren't loaded with cream and stick to the veggie-based varieties.

3. Consider a sandwich: Sandwiches are another great option that might not typically be thought of as a healthy lunch. For your sandwich, get a dark wheat bread and load it with veggies, avocados and learn meat like turkey.

4. Get the fish: If you have a work lunch, consider getting the fish. It is a fantastic heart-healthy option that is loaded with protein and omegas to get you through the rest of the day.

5. Grilled chicken: Another light option is the grilled chicken that is generally cooked in a little bit of oil. Add some greens to this option for a delicious and filing lunch.
