We are so excited for the longer days of summer. During that time, we also try to eat lighter - opting for fresh fruit and vegetables to keep us lean and refreshed all summer long. One of our favorite summer fruits is watermelon, a water-based fruit that packs a refreshing punch and includes an incredible dose of vitamin C, vitamin A and magnesium. Though we love enjoying it as is we also love it in drinks, ices and even in soups. Here are some of our favorite watermelon-based recipes to keep you cool and refreshed all summer long.

Having officially authenticated the first set of the three limited edition Nestlé Crunch Girl Scout Candy Bars, Heritage Auctions has appraised the bars at $500, an amount almost 200 times greater than the bars’ suggested retail price -- making them the most valuable candy bars currently in existence.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, sweetened drinks are the primary source of added sugar in the daily diet of children. Each 12-ounce serving of a carbonated, sweetened soft drink contains the equivalent of 10 teaspoons of sugar and 150 calories. A child who consumes one can of regular soda needs to walk 45 minutes just to burn it off.

Mayor Bloomberg of New York City is aiming to do just that, while many schools and office buildings around the nation are pulling the soft drinks from their shelves and vending machines. While such drinks may pose much-discussed health risks, the good news is that there are plenty of healthier, low- and no-sugar options, just a button-push away!

MGA Entertainment has announced its commitment and support to the fight against cancer by launching new hairless versions of their hit doll brands, Bratz® and Moxie Girlz™. Under the banner “”” MGA will release three Bratz® dolls - Cloe™, Yasmin™ and Cameron™, and three Moxie Girlz™ dolls, Avery™, Sophina™ and Jaxson™. Available at Toys“R”Us® stores and toysrus.com beginning in June, MGA will donate $1 for every “True Hope” Bratz® and Moxie Girlz™ doll, sold to distributors, to City of Hope for cancer research.

Ariosa Diagnostics, a molecular diagnostics company today announced that the Harmony™Prenatal Test will be available in the United States and Canada through Laboratory Corporation of America® Holdings (LabCorp®) and Integrated Genetics, a member of LabCorp's Specialty Testing Group. Harmony represents an innovative non-invasive test for detection of common fetal trisomies utilizing a directed approach to analyze cell-free DNA (cfDNA) in maternal blood. The Harmony Prenatal Test is currently available in selected locations and will be broadly available next month.
