Coconut oil is pretty amazing. Known as a "superfood," coconut oil contains and incredible blend of fatty acids that are beneficial to the body. It is also super easy to use that can be added to a variety of foods. Not only is it delicious for cooking, it also has numerous benefits for the skin and body. Here are just a few of the wondrous ways to use it.

 

1. For the skin: Coconut oil is made of rich fatty acids that serves as a natural moisturizer on the skin. 

2. Hair mask: Coconut oil is also pretty awesome for the hair. It can be used as a mask where you can apply it to your locks after your shampoo. Simply slather it over  your hair, wait 5 minutes and rinse.

3. Natural body oil: This is ideal during the winter when the skin is super dry. Apply a dollop of the oil on your skin for a natural and light scent as it works to heal dry skin.

4. For the nails: Nails can also get really dry where coconut oil can work soothe and heal  the nail bed.

5. For the lips: Coconut oil can serve as a natural lip balm that can treat chapped and irritated lips.

6. Tame flyways: Ladies with frizzy hair and those who have flyways will love the magic of coconut oil. Simply apply it to your hair as it works to soften and tame it!
